What is Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular rehabilitation involves the evaluation and treatment of impairments involving the vestibular system which is located in the inner ear. Common symptoms of vestibular disorders include: vertigo, dizziness, balance problems, falls, visual disturbance, nausea, vomiting, lack of concentration and fatigue. At Balance and Mobility Therapy, we specialize in Vestibular Rehabilitation, a therapy program designed to alleviate these symptoms and restore optimal function.

At Balance and Mobility Therapy, we're committed to delivering the highest quality of care using evidence-based practice and advanced technology. If you or a loved one is experiencing symptoms of a vestibular disorder, contact us today to schedule an appointment. Our team is here to help you regain balance and mobility, and to get you back to enjoying your life to the fullest.

Certified Specialists

Our expert physical therapists, that includes a Certified Vestibular Specialist (Melissa Miller, MPT | Board Certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy, Certified Vestibular Therapist), are skilled in diagnosing and managing various vestibular disorders, including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), Meniere's disease, and vestibular neuritis, among others. Through a comprehensive evaluation, we identify the root cause of your symptoms and formulate a tailored treatment plan to address your unique needs.

The therapy program may include exercises to improve balance, gaze stabilization to enhance visual focus, habituation exercises to decrease dizziness, and maneuvers to reposition displaced inner ear crystals in BPPV. The goal of Vestibular Rehabilitation is not just symptom relief, but also to restore your ability to perform daily activities without difficulty.

Technology

In our clinic, we employ advanced technology such as the NeuroCom® Balance Master® and the C-Mill by Motek. These systems aid in the accurate assessment of balance and mobility issues, guide personalized therapy, and track progress over time. With real-time visual feedback, these tools can motivate and engage patients, making therapy more effective.
