Melissa Miller, PT, MPT graduated from the University of Toledo in 1998 with a Bachelor’s of Exercise Science, in 1999 from Professional Skills Institute of Toledo, OH with an Associate’s of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant, and from the University of Findlay in 2007 with her Master’s in Physical Therapy. Melissa launched her career in 1993 starting as a therapy aide. At that time, Melissa decided that therapy was not just a job, but her passion.
Melissa has accumulated many interests and skills in her career, but her specialties are vestibular and orthopedic rehabilitation. In 2015, Melissa became a certified vestibular rehab specialist and a certified fitter for the Balance-Based Torso Weighted Vest. She has also been an instructor for the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Professional Skills Institute and continues to guest lecture at times, sharing her knowledge and skills with future clinicians. She also shares her knowledge in the clinic with future PT and PTA students as an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor. In 2018, Melissa became a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy demonstrating her passion to continue to provide optimal opportunities to her patients.
She is also a member of the Dendarah Court No. 10 of the Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America in Toledo and a member of the Divan Team for the Zenobia Shriners. She is dedicated to support the Shriner organization to assist with providing medical support for children. She loves spending time with family and friends watching her sons sporting events and just relaxing to enjoy time together.
