Dan Schriner, MEd, LPTA, LAT

Dan Schriner, MEd, LPTA, LAT has over 28 years of clinical experience treating musculoskeletal problems in adults, children, and athletes of all skill levels. He has been a licensed Athletic Trainer since 1992 and has held licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) since 1997. Dan did his Undergraduate and Graduate studies at Bowling Green State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology and a Master's Degree in Sports Physiology. He completed his PTA training at Professional Skills Institute in Toledo and previously served on their teaching staff. Dan frequently serves as a Clinical Instructor for PTA students from several area educational institutions. He is proud of the profession he has chosen and is dedicated to the teaching and training of future therapists.

Dan has served the athletic population in many capacities over the years including the care & prevention of athletic injuries at both the collegiate and high school levels, sports coaching (collegiate, high school, and youth levels), and as a strength & conditioning consultant (collegiate & high school levels). He uses these backgrounds to provide his clinical patients with the best care possible, focusing on functional and practical exercises designed to ensure a safe and rapid return to normal activities of daily living, work duties, and/or recreational activities. He works closely with the Physical Therapists to execute each patient's individual rehabilitation plan to maximize their therapy outcomes.

When not working in the clinic, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching most sports, and being outdoors. Since his days of playing football there, he has enthusiastically followed all of the BGSU sports programs. He also enjoys time spent cooking, grilling, experimenting with new recipes (creating snacks & drinks) to entertain others.
